__________________________________________________________ Since I last wrote about the lakers many things have happened. Some good some bad. At my last article the Lakers were 19-9, since then they have lost 12 games but have won 23 games. But there has been losts of problems internally with the lakers. Kobe and Shaq made their differences public and it distracted the team a lot. The team was tired and worn out because of the controversy. The All-Star break proved to be a good thing for the Lakers. It gave Shaq a chance to rest his foot and it gave Kobe a chance to rest his shoulder a little. The Lakers were still lacking something: defense. Ever since the beginning of the season the Lakers have been playing without point guard Derek Fisher, Fisher had suffered a bad injury during the summer and wasn't expected back until March. After the break the Lakers were very thin at the point guard position. Harper was injured, Derek was out too. The Lakers had to resort to their bench. They went with brian shaw, Tyronn Lue, and Mike Penberthy. Shaw is a good veteran that knows the Triangle and is very savvy at both the one and the two. Tyronn Lue is a third year guy out of Nebraska. He is listed generously at 6 feet. Mike Penberthy is a rookie to the NBA out of Masters College. He is basically a scrubb who can hit three's but can't play D. When Fisher made his debut on March 13th he scored 26 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. You do the math, if he keeps this up; the Lakers will be the team to beat. -nba2k.4mg.com Webmaster, Click Here if you'd like to write an article for nba2k!
